One national road (Route Nationale - RN) connecting directly from Pointe-Noire to the area via RN5 “Route Nationale 5”
Zoom
RN (Route Nationale) crosses two villages: Wollo and Manenga (estimated population 1000 inhabitants)
RN also leads to the sanctuary.
Further infrastructure will be built depending
on needs and physical requirements identified
by future partnerships with large industries.
OBJECTIVE
Through the Wollo Sanctuary and Development (WSD) initiative, a significant portion of the land will be dedicated to a wildlife sanctuary and related ecotourism program, while other portions will be leased to investors and allocated to farming and agribusiness.
The goal is to also empower the local population through educational opportunities, health care amenities, and employment.
Our mission
is to create a new ecosystem by seeding an array of industries and initiatives from an initial family capital investment to promote sustainable development in Wollo, through:
Responding to local social, environmental and economic needs in participatory consultation with the local population;
Capitalizing on preserving the natural habitat of local wildlife;
Developing sound business practices in wildlife protection, agriculture, tourism, industry and entrepreneurship;
Fostering collaborative public-private partnerships (PPPs) to attract investors and funders for our initiatives;
Promoting sustainable livelihoods, jobs and access to healthcare;
Providing local residents with education/vocational training.
Expected outcomes include increased prosperity and opportunities for Congolese people, as well as the introduction of innovative technologies like solar energy.
